HILDEGARD WEBER
Cologne, Germany

Hildegard Weber is a visual artist working primary with photography and video. To her studies in the fields of archaeology and history she added her master degree in photography and film with engineering diploma. Involved with archaeology and people, her assignments take her often abroad. Openness, psychological complexity, and humanistic narratives with a profound humour mark her work. The sense of her videos, photography and three-dimensional works, the installations... they are fragments of a story or a dream, there is space for own liberal and symbolic meanings. Hildegard Weber builds sequences of pictures using exactly the effect conflict of fragments and this you will find also in her experiments with sound, music and language. Hildegard Weber’s controversial installations have caused dialogues for over thirty years - they are unrivalled in their relevance to current events and issues and are ‘expanded art’ - performances that are concentrated and intensified, expanding in narratives as the title suggests…  press  J.L

Pedro Virgilio Cunha was born in Lisbon in 1975.
After Art studies he studied Architecture having the opportunity to explore the plasticity of three dimensional spaces, viewing the projects as habitable sculptures, exploring anthropomorphically forms. In parallel with finishing diploma, he learns painting in the studio of older artists and working with other artists from his generation.
He has shown his work in collective and individual exhibitions in traditional galleries and in more alternative circuits.
In 2010 he star working together with M.Sofia Xavier and in May 2010 they produced together a big individual painting exhibition in LxFactory, Lisbon,  where he had the opportunity to show in review most part of his work in a total of more than 200 paintings forming a painting installation.
In the end of July I had went to no New York to participate in a mural project in the Local Project Gallery and In October the same year he exhibit his last works in Galeria Bozart, a new Gallery in Lisbon historical centre.
Since then he has been active individually and collectively, forming an informal Art Collective called Galeria Nómada with whom he has been exhibiting and working in several projects and presently creating together an International Art Residence project in Oporto named Casa Amarela, connected already with other similar projects in Europe. There he has been exploring interdisciplinary collaboration projects and developing other cultural collective projects, in a direct contact with public in the daily open studios.
In his recent work he has been doing experimental painting, exploring big formats, live performances, painting and architecture self constructed installations. His work is caracterized by the use of different techniques and materials in an intuitive form rather than rational, oscillating between a figurative representation and a more abstract gestural one, exploring energetic orchestrations on reality.
